Blizzard yet again!

Can't believe it! Our kids are now on their 5th snow day of the school year and it's only January. I'm going to need to come up with a plan to handle anymore snow days if we are going to stay sane this winter. I am grateful to at least be in our new house for this winter. At least everyone can retreat to their own space a little easier now. I can honestly say that I've lost my desire to clean in these circumstances because it hardly seems worth it with all of us in the house to just mess things up. It's just fine but feels like I should make something of this time. I guess just spending time as a family is what we should do instead. We will pray for safe travels for those who are out & hope the rest of us can just stay home. I hope that this is it for a while! The Frozen Tundra is living up to it's name!

Winter Time

We haven't had a winter this bad in a LONG time! We are currently in our 3rd major snowstorm and it's only January. The kids have no school & I doubt that even if I had to work today, that I would not have made it in. Visibility is not good & the temps are dangerous to even be out in. So what do we do when this happens? Stay in, drink lots of coffee, pick up the house, do laundry, & then light the fireplace. I have said in the past that I don't mind having to stay home once in a while. I think God took that too literally and has over granted my wish for a quiet night at home every once in a while. Oh well. I guess we will take it as a blessing and try to remember these low key times when life is chaotic and we should be in 3 different places in 1 night! For now, we will relax and stay warm by the fire!!
